Finally! Following several weekends of Saturday nights in RL, I am wired and back on the grid while palming a Doppio espresso (or "trippio" with the extra shot =P) and waking up fresh from a midday's slumber. After receiving an invitation to Freestar's regular Saturday night bashes, I didn't think to change as I beamed over to take a seat. I arrived to find a packed house, bare feet a myriad of the flannell-clad and barely-there pj's centered around a good music accompanied by an array of party delectables to dine on.
A slice of pizza and a glass of lemonade later, the night is in full swing (it never takes long for the sound stage to overflow with anxious avatars) and I don't waste time to plant it. After all, a full week of building on THE MUSE DEFINED's isle has been tedious, and I join the few that are seated for the sake of multitasking in and out of the world. There is nothing like live music that you don't have to travel very far to enjoy.
As I dropped in on a performance-in-progress, the line-up of artists secured my place in the crowd. A glance at the wall of seasoned SL performers enlightens anyone in the place that they are in for a definite treat, with Freestar Tammas setting off the night.

I arrived in time for Blues Heron's soothing blues waves bringing the mood to shore.
Armed with a vanguard of organic material, Heron crooned a blue-blazing set of soul-soothing rhythms that fought vigorously from being contained.

Rosedrop Rust's eclectic guitar cleaned up a set of steaming spilled beans during a stellar performance of nicely strummed originals, with the baked in goodness that only he can provide. Turn the dial onto his group's podcast, where you can stay up to date with the happenings of wonderful Rosedrop.

The sultry power-pianist Prowess Rayna's set was enigmatic. She combines beauty and intricacy in her performance, stunning the room with a reputation that precedes her. The smooth addition to a thumping pajama party, "Dragon Rider" was the piece that set me adrift on slumber bliss, topping off my night of PJ partying with an earful of celestial chords and notes.

View the slideshow, or keep a copy of the show notes to peruse through at your leisure. Thanks again, Free, for a great lineup of guests and hosting one of SL's best live music sets on the grid.
